2021: New Studio Location & Schedule Changes -- TransformEd is moving to the Village of Kleinburg!

Happy New Year!

It is with great excitement that we share TransformEd’s plans to expand our studio space in the Village of Kleinburg where we will continue offering our creative classes, programs, playdates and photoshoots during 2021!

We were able to secure our new location in December and will take possession on January 29th, 2021!!! (Please see instagram @joannebabalis and @transformedpsinc for most current images of our process...)

The new place will be ready and open starting March 1st, 2021.

We are going to start fresh in our new location, and will be using the remainder of this month to coordinate the renovations, ordering our furniture, packing up our materials, moving, and setting-up our new space to open the week of March 1st, 2021.

We will continue to offer opportunities for children ages 6 months old to 12 years old, parents/caregivers, and adults artists/educators:

• Creative children/family classes  (see complete program list here)

• Drop-off preparatory learning programs before attending childcare/school (2 or 3 hours long) *unlicensed home-childcare

• After-school and weekend classes *private home tutoring

• Language and music instruction (Italian, Greek, Piano, vocal, etc.)

• Private playdates and special theme days

• Photoshoots and photography packages

• Adult speciality classes and socials (Paint nights, Flower workshops, etc.)

• Educational training/consulting for teachers and RECEs

  • we are open at 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily

  • more days added to our weekly schedule -- now open Monday-Saturday

  • 2 hour or 3 hour Drop-off preparatory learning programs before attending childcare/school

    You are also now able to pre-book dates in advance, such as the Summer months or when you are going back to work to ensure that your child has space! (See all of our Seasonal Dates below)

Even with the challenges of this global pandemic, we had a wonderful Summer/Fall 2020 season with lots of interest from the community and several new/returning families.  Most of our requests have been relative/friend private cohorts (bubble groupings) which we will do our best to still accommodate!  

Childcare centres remain open, as essential services and schools have provided several options including virtual learning.  Perhaps you may also wish to consider a Kindergarten or School aged program this year if your child is at home.  Our private small group atmosphere is really ideal for attention, and a great opportunity for socialization.

TransformEd will continue to provide creative learning experiences for children and families in a safe/healthy environment.  We believe that by placing these guidelines, we will get through these trying times.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone again in our newly designed studio, socializing together, and celebrating what childhood is really all about!

Transformed has, therefore, been busy behind the scenes taking numerous health and safety measures to ensure a smooth transition back to our space for the well-being of all children and families!  This is why we have taken extra time making decisions to be certain that we have consulted with other professionals working with young children (in childcare, paediatricians/nurses at Sick Kids Hospital, public health, regional guidelines for the City of Vaughan, etc.).  We would rather be overly cautious and prepared -- both as educators and parents of our programs!!!

Classes/Programs will resume the week of March 1st - March 6th, 2021 and we have created a schedule until the end of December 2021.  We have new staff hired, are open on additional days (Mondays & Saturdays), and our start times are earlier (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.), so that we can accommodate more students and families.  

Each class remains private with 1 - 5 children at a time.

Booking process:

• Saturday - Monday (January 9th-11th) -- those who have previously booked Winter 2021 and paid can select their new day/time first

• Tuesday January 12th -- those contacted with this email who would like to register and pay can select their day/time next

• Wednesdays January 13th and onward -- open to public - first come first serve registrations

• *payment* only gets sent once we confirm that your prefered program/day/time are available 

Are you wishing to book TransformEd on behalf of a private group in your family/friend bubble?

You are able to have the entire space for your group, and the programs will run the same (with parents/drop-off) but it would not include anyone else in our community. 

Requirement: 5 children (or you can pay the difference if there are less)

Please note if you wanted to join a general community group with 1-2 friends, this can also be done and would require the same information as above.

We cannot begin to describe how excited we are to have a bigger space for us to share!  We will have a family room as a classroom, full kitchen, living/dining room for the art studio, and second floor lofts for our photography.

We recognize that schools are currently in lockdown, which may raise some questions...  Since we are classified as an at-home unlicensed childcare centre, we are an essential service and will be allowed to open (according to what is happening currently).
