About Joanne

Joanne Marie Babalis blogs from her TransformEd Creative Studio Space (or colourful home office) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  She is an artist and child at heart, outside of the box thinker, photography lover, wife, and new Mama to a baby boy who she adores!  Joanne Marie Babalis is also kindergarten teacher who has been blogging for five years about her Reggio Emilia inspired classroom transformation.  Sometimes it is still very hard for her to believe that this simple social media platform has had the power to connect her with educators from all around the world.  TransformEd: Transforming our learning environment into a space of possibilities has exceeded 2.5 million views and now shares professional and personal stories about her different learning experiences.

Joanne Marie Babalis is an educator, researcher, innovator, mentor, collaborator, presenter, leader, and lifelong learner.  Her goal is to continue to advocate for early learning and inspire as many educators as possible.  She is willing to consult and present at conferences, university courses, workshops, classroom, school boards, early childhood centres, professional learning communities/network sessions, and any other learning events where she can spread her developing insights around Early Childhood Education, Reggio Emilia inspiration, and creativity.

  4. Great opportunity to bring awareness of the role of the Early Childhood Educator in Full Day Kindergarten, especially because you also have your degree in Early Childhood Education. But you haven't even listed the CECE as a reference point or listed that you are also an ECE in your post nominal titles. Inquiry and Play based learning is what Early Childhood Educators are all about. It isn't new to us.
