Involving Parents

Here is a building platform that one of our parents built. We added mirrors to allow the children to see themselves while building.

  1. As an Early Childhood Educator who has been Reggio inspired for a few years, and a current student in training to become a teacher, I have never been so inspired and touched to see the learning that is happening in your classroom. This is an ideal classroom that meets the needs and interests of all students. I had the opportunity to walk through your classroom and all I can say is that I was left speechless. I have seen amazing classrooms at Bishop Strachan and other Reggio inspired programs in Colorado, however I have never seen an actual school classroom. This is a true example that this philosophy can work in a school classroom environment. Thank you for inspiring me.

  3. Your room looks wonderful! I love the mirrors in the block area. Where did you find them & how did you attach them to the back of the shelving unit? Great idea!

  4. Hi,

I got the mirrors from Ikea, and they have adhesives for the back which allow you to mount onto relatively any surface!

Thank you for your positive feedback!
