Are you finished taking your Kindergarten AQ's? Here is a course you might consider!
Here is some information for a course that you might be interested in. I am continuing to teach the Kindergarten AQ this Fall through York University, however, if you are already finished and have your specialist this is another great opportunity to consider.
Carol Anne Wien shares:
I am happy to announce that the certificate program "Emergent Curriculum in Full-Day Kindergarten" being offered by York University's Faculty of Education for the fall term is open for registration.
The opening module is an "Introduction to Emergent Curriculum in Full-day Kindergarten" and I am delighted to be the course instructor for this opening of the program. Other modules will have instructors well-versed in emergent processes and familiar with Reggio-inspired practice in schools and child care settings.
The opening 2 days are August 26 and 27, held in the Student Centre at Bishop Strachan School, which has kindly made the space available to us. The other Saturdays of the program are Oct. 5, Oct. 26 and Nov. 16 and will be held at Thorncliffe School which has kindly offered space to us.
I've attached the flyer from York's RPD program, which I hope you can open because if you can't I shall have to direct you to the York website, where you will also find it.
For information on registration, go to www.raiseyouraq.ca. You can also email raiseyouraq@edu.yorku.ca.
For more info on the program go to Faculty of Education, York University, Research and Professional Development Programs.
Please feel free to send this information to anyone you think might be interested. The program welcomes both teachers and early childhood educators as teams or individuals.
