Join our Kindergarten Additional Qualification Course - York University

Today I am blogging about my work as a Kindergarten Additional Qualification instructor for York University.  Within this post you will find information about my upcoming #yorkukaq course offering from January 31st - April 13th, 2017, as well as inspiration from the Fall term that just ended...

I love instructing this professional learning opportunity, as I facilitate it to be more of a creative experience or process.  Together, we all learn from each other and co-construct knowledge on a weekly basis.  After each face-to-face session or online Twitterchat I can count on receiving new ideas to consider for my own teaching practice.  When we gather in person and share provocations, visit classrooms, or hear guest lecturers, it often feels as exciting as being a child on Christmas morning!

Being in the presence of passionate Kindergarten educators is certainly a gift.  I thank the participants from our last session, as well as, my co-facilitator Trista Dutt for their support, efforts, and intellectual stimulation!

Here are a few images that highlight some of our time together - but there were many MANY more:

If you are a teacher and would like to join us this January-April to take your Kindergarten Part 1, Part 2, or Specialist please consider registering before it fills up!

This course is also offered as a certificate program to all Early Childhood Educators in three parts.

As a combined course, you will have differentiated assignments and learning, however, we will share insights across all three sections.

The course meets on Thursdays in person from 5:00-8:30 p.m. at Guardian of the Angels Catholic Elementary School (Vaughan, Ontario - Major Mackenzie and Weston Road) and online every Tuesday on Twitter (an exception being our first class) at a time chosen by your professional learning community (PLC group).

I hope to see you or your teaching team later on this month!  It will be a journey that you won't want to see come to an end...
