The TransformEd Creative Studio and Learning Centre
invites you to register for Fall 2018 programs !

I hope that this blog post finds you well and that you are looking forward to the Fall as much as we are! As we wrap up our Summer groups, we are excited for what's to come and really hope that you will join us...

Thank you in advance to all of the families who have already requested their pre-registration.  I am taking email order on a first come first serve basis, therefore, if you have contacted me you are in priority sequence!!!

The TransformEd Creative Studio and Learning Centre follows a rolling enrolment, which means that new families can be added to our classes whenever they choose to sign up, so long as there is a space available.

Who can come to our classes?

Children from birth to age eight years with a parent, grandparent (we've even had a great grandparent), aunt/uncle, family friend, or Nanny. Our programs are a great way to get out of the house and socialize (children with other children and even adults with other adults). The studio prides itself on giving families a stimulating learning environment that allows children to explore materials beyond the traditional screen time (television, Netflix, YouTube).

All program descriptions are available here. Our sessions consist of six classes or twelve classes starting on September 18th, 2018. You will be given the opportunity to choose your preferred day and time, during our hours of operation.

*Open Studio is for an hour on a specific date (see above) and our Curious Children for Multi-Ages is a private booking option for as many sessions as your group selects.

If any of these programs sound interesting to you, please email me for the details and specific times. New sections will open up, as the hours and days fill.

As you know, our class numbers are small and allow for a more intimate private program feel. Mornings, weekends, and Open Studio times tend to book up the fastest. For this reason, it is recommended that you save your spot to ensure that it matches your child's nap schedule.

You may also wish to coordinate with other mommy friends and don't want to be disappointed if your class times are different!

What sets the TransformEd parent/child sessions apart?

• smaller numbers and attention

• all parents/guardians, grandparents, relatives, nannies, or any other caregiver(s) to the child are welcome

• stimulating and high quality materials to explore in creative ways that are washed/sanitized

• thoughtfully designed open-ended learning environment that is always changing based on the age group or interests

• indoor and outdoor spaces are considered one big learning area to discover in your own pace

• Reggio Emilia inspired approach that follows the child's lead (emergent curriculum)

• inquiry (children's questions/curiosity) and the process of learning are celebrated rather than a product

• social experience that builds lasting relationships for the children and parent(s)/caregivers

• patient and caring educator (also is a PhD student learning about early childhood and the Reggio Emilia approach from Italy) with over twelve years of teaching experience that nurtures children's development and supports parental wonderings

• programs encourage twenty first century skills that prepare children for the future such as collaboration/teamwork, creative innovation, communication, critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, adaptability, curiosity/questioning, confidence, etc.

*New*
Our programs are a wonderful opportunity to bond with your child and carve out time to document meaningful memories together! Parent(s)/caregiver(s) will be encouraged to make observation notes on their child's creative process (e.g., Today Lily chose to use the colour red. -or- Today Sebby said, "I am making a firetruck for you."), as well as capture photos/videos of their child's experience. These moments will be a beautiful keepsake to treasure for years to come. All notes will be added to their artwork and folder.

Open Studio: Play and Create is for one hour and costs $35+tax ($39.55 per child).

Curious Children for Multi-Ages: Private Playdates/Group Bookings cost $40+tax ($45.20 per child) for one hour.

TO REGISTER:

If you'd like to reserve your spot, then you can send an eTransfer tojoannemariebabalis@gmail.com or pay with a credit card on the blog http://myclassroomtransformation.blogspot.com/p/register.html.

Please note that a transaction fee to use paypal with your credit card will be added in addition to the taxes (this administration fee is listed under shipping). To save on this extra fee, consider our email transfer option...

All sessions are non-refundable, as the numbers affect overall planning and coordination. You may, however, give your spot to someone else and email me about the changes so that I can update my list. Think of this like a ticket to a concert - once you register, your spot is confirmed. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Missed classes, sick days and weather:

The TransformEd Creative Studio has a similar registration process as a community program. Once you sign up, your spot is reserved and materials/programming are planned around these numbers. If your child is sick, you have another event, or can't make the class it will not be re-scheduled. The only time the program will be delivered on another day is due to our own closure or cancellation of programming (e.g., if there is an ice storm and it's unsafe to enter the studio, etc.).

With more than 45 families per season, if every child takes a trip or misses a class it becomes difficult to schedule the makeup dates with our regular weekly programming. Thank you for recognizing all of the time and effort that goes into preparing for your child's time in our studio! We completely understand when life happens and will miss you until your return!

All classes/programs are non-refundable, as the numbers affect overall planning and coordination. Throughout your six or twelve weeks, you might also be tagged in any photos that I take and post online through my Instagram or Blog where you can save the images to your phone, tablet or computer.

  1. Great work did by you. Informative and problem-solving content that users can easily digest can work for all types of blogs. When a user finds something informative on a blog, he/she is more likely to come back from your side.
