In order to be fair to those enrolling in these sessions, it is of paramount importance that we maintain honest practices. Therefore, do not share logins (I can see when you login twice), and be truthful about your address and location. If you are not a Canadian resident, then with your currency it wouldn't be right to have the advantage of such a large discount over those who live across Canada. Finally, similar to how we honour copyright and the hard work an individual puts into their writing, I would appreciate and trust that you won't register once and have a few people around your computer. In the end only one individual will get the credit and certificate.
I thank you for respecting these wishes and already know that it won't be an issue!!!
All sessions are non-refundable, as the numbers affect overall planning and coordination. You may, however, give your spot to someone else and email me about the changes so that I can update my list. Think of this like a ticket to a concert - once you register, your spot is confirmed. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

10:00 a.m. Mini studio experiences and time to be creative/collaborate
12:00 p.m. Closing Presentation
1:00 p.m. End time
Children learn in hundreds and thousands of different ways. Why limit them to paper and pencil tasks? In this experience-based session, participants will be introduced to several “mini studios” (or ateliers) to explore materials in new and creative ways. They will learn strategies from artists to take back to the classroom, specifically around setting up similar provocations, and how to integrate the areas of the revised Kindergarten Program Document (2016).
What will you gain from this session?
Location: Hazelton Manor (99 Peelar Road, Vaughan, ON, L4K 1A3 - 407 and Jane st.) - larger space that will accommodate for the hands on learning and mingling portion.
Location is subject to change depending on the numbers, but the format will remain the same.
If you register by Labour Day (September 5th, 2016), not only will you be entered to win some amazing educational products, but you will also receive a free copy of my TransformEd Tips and Tricks: Planning that Supports Integrated Learning package. Otherwise, copies will be sold at the session. (This is in addition to the handouts that are part of our learning together.)
REGISTER HERE: The TransformEd Fall Workshop on Saturday, November 19th, 2015 from 8:30-1:00 p.m. (4.5 hours) with breakfast included costs $135.00 + HST. An email will be sent to you confirming your registration from paypal and will attach your receipt. If you do not receive this confirmation (sometimes there are glitches), please contact joannemariebabalis@gmail.com. A second email will come your way leading up to the session with any updated information and a receipt from TransformEd Consulting Services. All sessions are non-refundable. The banquet hall requires that the number of participants are confirmed, to ensure that they have adequate space, staffing, and food. Even on a snow day, they do not provide our money back. You may, however, give your spot to someone else and email me about the changes so that I may update my list. Think of this like a ticket to a concert-once you register, your spot is confirmed. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

NEW! E-Workshop series, Tea Talk Tuesdays Inquiry-based learning as a process: How to plan for and sustain your project work Fully Online - Using an interactive platform called Adobe Connect Tuesday, August 16th, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. (2 hours) Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. (2 hours) Make a fresh pot of your favourite tea, grab your technology, and learn how to follow a child's interests and wonders, to spark an inquiry project in your classroom! Within this online workshop series, participants will gain insights about the layers of inquiry-based learning, how to sustain project work, and plan their inquiry next steps with the help of pedagogical documentation. (Formerly a face-to-face Workshop) What will you gain from this session?
I have used Adobe Connect as a graduate student at York University and also as a Teacher Librarian for Scholastic training. At first I was at little hesitant, but absolutely loved the interactive experience! Adobe connect allows you to feel like you are participating in a workshop, without having to physically be there! In our private meeting room (registered participants only), you can see the powerpoint slides, hear the presenter talking, access any handouts, view video clips, ask questions or contribute to discussion either by typing in the chat forum or through your phone line. If you have wanted to attend my workshop, and our distance has gotten in the way - now it doesn't have to! Be one of the first to register for my online series, and receive a free copy of my TransformEd Tips and Tricks: Inquiry-Based Learning package. (This is in addition to the handouts that are part of our learning together.) REGISTER HERE: The TransformEd E-Workshop series on Tuesday, August 16th, 2016 and Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. (4 hours) from the comfort of your own home costs $110.00 + HST. An email will be sent to you confirming your registration from paypal and will attach your receipt. If you do not receive this confirmation (sometimes there are glitches), please contact joannemariebabalis@gmail.com. A second email will come your way leading up to the session with any updated information (how to login to adobe connect, etc.) and a receipt from TransformEd Consulting Services. All sessions are non-refundable. The online platform that I am using (Adobe Connect) requires an annual fee that is based on the number of participants that are confirmed. Once you register, I will count on your attendance to run the E-Workhsop. You may, however, give your spot to someone else and email me about the changes so that I may update my list. Think of this like a ticket to a concert-once you register, your spot is confirmed. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Testimonials Kindergarten AQ course from my former students:
The Kindergarten AQ Specialist course offered through York University, taught by Joanne Babalis was an incredible experience. I took two other courses online and was left feeling uninspired. This course invigorated me and pushed me to take risks in my own FDK classroom and throw myself into the new program. The course inspired me to be a leader in my school and I feel excited to start a new year with fresh ideas and a lot of creative experiences. Thanks for your inspiration Joanne. You are a true leader!
Leah Liederman
FDK Teacher, YRDSB
I absolutely loved my Kindergarten Specialist course through York University, taught by Joanne Babalis. It lived up to all my expectations and more and was the perfect way to end a year long journey of Kindergarten PD. This course was inspiring in so many ways. It taught me how to be a leader and inspired me to want to inspire others to be leaders in their journey of learning in FDK. From the guest speakers to the class excursions, the connections to technology, creative experiences and life-long connections to colleagues, as well as, Joanne's guiding, supporting and inspiring leadership, the course was an A+!!
Maria Marinuzzo
FDK Teacher, Dufferin-Peel CDSB
After 6 1/2 years of teaching kindergarten, I decided it was time to register for Kindergarten Part 2. Having followed Joanne's blog, My Classroom Transformation, I knew that I had to enrol in the course with Joanne. Joanne (and the many wonderful educators I met in the course!) transformed my teaching practice! Upon completing my Part 2, I immediately registered for Part 3 with Joanne! I would highly recommend anyone who is taking their Kindergarten Specialist to enroll with Joanne. She is extremely knowledgeable and provides an environment that fosters a growth mindset. The material and the assignments are extremely practical and can be transferred to your day-to-day classroom practice.
