My February Life and Blog Challenge!

As I wrote on Instagram earlier this morning, it is the first day of February!!!  For those of you who have been following my blog, I am sure that you have noticed that I adore colourful art materials, fun stationary, engaging books, delicious sweets, and fashionable accessories.

This month, however, I plan to focus more of my energy and attention on relationships over the "things" that I love to consume.  So I'm giving up shopping and indulging in sugar to spend more time finding inner peace through my practice of yoga paired with healthy eating.

February is the month of love, family day, and friendship.

Follow me each week as I go on a blog date with other teacher bloggers, and in honour of this month I will blog as much as I can to show my followers just how much I appreciate all of you!

Below are a few video interviews that were recorded Winter 2013 about our Sky Inquiry that I have held onto to post on a special occasion.  They were captured and edited by Rita Alati and Leah McDonald from the York Region District School Board of Julie Ham and I.  We shared our journey and thoughts from our time together at Bond Lake Public School.

I am very thankful for all of the opportunities that I have received over the years at my board and for the administrators that I have been lucky to work for.  Collectively they have helped shape me into the educator that I am today.

Happiness if never found in materialist things;

it exists in things that cannot be physically possessed.

Therefore, happiness is priceless.

It can never be purchased.

I just discovered your blog recently and I'm very inspired by your dedication to inquiry based learning, while still living a healthy and balanced life! I am attempting to the same as a kindergarten teacher :) So thanks, and looking forward to reading more!
