We Can See India: A Family Vacation

Over the Winter Break, one of our students (N.C.) travelled to India with her family.  There, they took a few photos to include in our "We Can See" Project.

We are so excited to share this with all of you!

Now Ms. Babalis has added India to her extensive travel wish list.

Thank you to N.C.'s family for sending us these incredibly beautiful photographs and for being the first family to share what they saw while on their vacation.

We encourage more families to participate by sending photos saved with a description onto a usb stick.  It could be from a previous vacation or a community walk.  If you do not have access to a usb stick, I am in the process of planning to send one home as an extension to this project.  Stay tuned!

  1. Thank you to your student and family for sharing. I would love to know what the students thought about that crocodile in the river! Now this isn't something we would see in Canada.
    Amazing.

  2. Hello Mr. Collins,

    Thank you for your comment!

The students could not stop talking about the crocodile in the river! They even made connections to it and the crocodile in the Lego Chima book series and toys. One student also mentioned that she saw a crocodile while on vacation in Florida at Bush Gardens.

When asked, What did you think of the crocodile in there river:

An.Si.: Awesome, because it was climbing out of the river! (This was followed by many "awesome" cheers from the class!)

And you're right this is not something we would see here in Canada!

I'm loving this project and all of the learning that is coming along with it,

    Ms. Babalis
